It just seems that you can’t go anywhere without hearing about the bad economy, layoffs and companies going out of business. Did you know that the companies that sit it out through these times come out on top of all the others? How do they do it? Simple, they alter their marketing!

Websites are one of the biggest marketing tools you can have in today’s world and should be the last thing you should be cutting out of your marketing mix.

Website Design

If you don’t currently have a website, expanding your business to the internet will broad your reach to new customers outside of your local market. No matter what niche you are in, there is always a bigger market for it online.

Website Redesign

It’s time to dust off the cobwebs and polish up your logo. A new website will show your customers that you are strong despite the times and will allow them to have more buyer confidence with your business.

Where to start?

When choosing a Colorado web design service provider, be sure to follow these tips:

Beware of firms that outsource outside of the U.S. This is an all too common practice. Do you really want your information in the hands of someone on the other side of the globe?

Don’t hire your neighbor’s cousin’s 13 year old to develop a “web page”. You want to select a professional studio that will be around in the long term and also you will want one that is customer oriented.

Beware of providers that tell you you can get a fully custom web design with a content management system for under $500. There has to be a reason why the price is that low. Whether they are trying to force you into a long term monthly contract or perhaps they really have no clue what they are doing.

Finding a good Colorado website design provider can be difficult. Always ask questions if you don’t understand something and always remember that this is your website, not the designers.

Collins Internet is a Colorado web development agency based in Delta,Co.

Getting more visitors to your site is vital. Using these free online marketing tips, you should be able to bring in more web site traffic.

Getting more web site traffic is top priority when you have a web presence. Although, it is not easy to achieve that priority. So we have compiled a short list of five valuable tips to help you gain traffic to your web site.

Search Engines – Participation in Pay-Per-Click campaigns can be very beneficial if you have an adequate advertising budget. Otherwise, you could invest your dollars by hiring an online marketing company that provides SEO solutions.

Social Media – If you have information on your web site that is top value, you should consider using social media to get more traffic. Sites such as Digg, Reddit and StumbleUpon can be very helpful if you have decent content.

Web Directories – Online directories, such as the Open Directory Project, are like gold dust. Submission to these should be on the top of your list.

Online Advertising – Find a site that is within your niche and advertise on it. If you can find a site that charges by the amount of traffic you receive then you have a great deal in your grasp.

E-Mail Marketing – Return visitors are vital, especially if you are selling from your web site. Offer an email capture box on your site and keep them informed with a newsletter. More often than not, you will get repeat sales.

And there you have it. Five tips that most online marketing firms do not want you to know about. Using these tips, you should be able to bring more web site traffic than ever before.

The Bad Views of Real Estate Reciprocal Linking

Dangers of reciprocal linking of Real Estate web sites.
Understand how you can get into trouble and start losing web site visitors.

Reciprocal Linking Strategy
The reciprocal linking strategy (you link to me and I’ll link back) seemed to be the best online marketing plan for Realtors. The concept is basically to get as many links to your site as you can to get high on the search engine rankings. Some found success with this. But after Google’s spam team department found their web sites, they were kicked off of Google and out of the search.

Why?
Let’s say that Realtor A wants a higher ranking for their web site. He contacts Realtor B in New Jersey who just so happens to want a higher ranking for her term. They both add each other’s links to their “Links” page. This process continues with many different Realtors from different locations. Soon enough Realtor A has over 100 links on his “Links” page. This unfortunately looks like spam to Google. It’s also not very attractive for Realtor A’s site visitors either, considering it’s just a long page of links.

Now what?
Because of this horror story, some internet marketing companies don’t want anything to do with real estate web sites. Although only those who participated in over reciprocal linking were the ones who where punished. Reciprocal linking isn’t a bad thing unless you over do it like the example above. Consider looking into a Real Estate Web Marketing company with a good linking strategy.

When it comes to capturing those important leads, you may want to consider E-Mail Marketing as a solution. Learn how you benefit from providing a newsletter to your potential buyers.

Capturing leads on your web site can be achieved with a simple newsletter sign-up form. The user simply puts their email address in the input box and presto, you have a lead. The next step in this process is to persuade this lead to become a potential buyer by supplying them with useful information sent directly to their email in-box.

Collins Internet Marketing provides you with our custom made lead capture tools. With our tools you can take the details collected and use them to better understand the lead and help them make a sure decision. Although if you are looking for simplicity in capturing leads, we would recommend that you use a service called Constant Contact. Constant Contact is a newsletter management service that allows you to capture email addresses from your web site and to easily send out professional newsletters.
